For me, it all started with creative writing. I had never been extensively talented with a pencil and I found writing was my only real method of illustrating the flood of ideas I had incessantly craving to escape my imagination. Using paper as my canvas and words as my paint, I have been writing concepts and ideas for all sorts of mediums, from since I can remember, utilising my strong abilities with the English language to my full potential.
However, as time went on, I became more and more frustrated with the fact that I wanted more from my ideas. I wanted to see them in front of me, really see them. It was this desire that pulled me towards Film direction and production. I began to learn tools such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and tried to bring my ideas to life. It was here that I started to realise my true passions. It didn’t take long for my love of computer games to merge with these dreams to being able not only visualise my concepts and ideas, but also to interact with them.
I am now an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, both skilled and passionate in the practical and theoretical aspects of game design and directive. I also have a keen understanding of cinematic screenplay and actively direct and produce personal films on current game titles. Being a very sociable and active member in any project I take on, I prefer working with a team and in a motivated environment, because of this I find myself to be very pro-active, having an innate ability to inherit leadership and managerial roles well when required. I find working in an organised team is just as important as working with a highly talented one. I like to be challenged in any project I work on, finding problems to be a motivator to work harder.
Game design and Cinematic Directive have serious passions of mine, ones that I wish to exercise, merge and develop in the coming futures.
