Join The Syndicate

The following are criteria to be met by prospective employees of Omerta Syndicate. If you have any questions, or want to discuss something involving your recruitment privately, then feel free to evemail or start a convo with our Human Resources manager, or one of the directors listed below. If you would like to apply, please visit the recruitment center section of our forum for details.

You will have to accept the terms of our Corporate Code of Conduct (viewable here) before joining our corporation. We will not hire prospective members until they have read the code and agreed to uphold the values outlined in the document.

For security purposes, during the interview stage you may be asked to take hi-res screenshots of your character selection screen(s), contracts history, and wallet Player Donations.

» Candidates must be 18 years of age or older. We are looking for maturity, common sense, and the ability to do as you are told.

» Prospective members may come from any timezone, though we are specifically looking to increase our European fleet strength.

» Combat pilots should have 15 million or more skill points. Most, if not all of them, should be PvP related. This isn't always a hard rule, but the pilots we have recruited in the past who have not met this requirement have all been exceptional. If recruits lack the SP required, they have to demonstrate an ability to fight regardless, and fight well.

» Industry-centric recruits will be hired at 10 million skill points and higher. We require that these people have previous 0.0 experience and the know-how to keep themselves safe.

» Candidates should have a security rating of at least -1.9. We currently require members to be able to enter all security level systems at all times. We will allow those with lower security to join on probation status, during which time they must increase their sec, but due to our positioning it is typically hard for us accept outlaws.

» Candidates should be financially self sufficient. Corporate hangars are used primarily for logistics; ships and T2 modules most often used in combat are not typically supplied.

» All alternate characters of a given member must be placed in Omerta Syndicate. We will make exceptions only as the directorate sees fit.

» We will not recruit any players who use exploits to get ahead in EVE.

» We use Ventrilo and Teamspeak, and expect all members to have both programs installed, working properly, and access to a working microphone.

» Candidates should be team players, and must follow orders when given. We like members to be talkative and involved in corp ops, not many systems away and dead quiet.

» Omerta Syndicate is a “light RP” corporation. All candidates should be respectful of certain roleplayed environments in which our members may become involved, even if they have no intention of joining in. We believe that everything you do in EVE is technically roleplay (playing a role in the game), but we do not force members into traditional roleplay, and corp chat is completely “out of character.”

Some background on us:

Omerta Syndicate was originally formed several years ago during the EVE beta testing. The corporation lived a short life throwing weight around the Intergalactic Summit to gain a little notoriety. Omerta closed its doors just before the game was released, only to be brought back to life two years ago - the same group of friends, plus a few new ones involved in doing so.

Since then people have come and gone, the ones that have stayed having cemented our small community. We all play the game to have fun, same as everyone else. We're fairly laid back in our approach to Eve, looking more to enjoy ourselves in PvP and RP, rather than attempting to win the game.

As mentioned, we're here for fun, so only apply if you have a sense of humour.

We pride ourselves on combat efficiency and professional conduct throughout all our endeavors.

If you like what you see and qualify for the requirements listed above, or marginally disqualify and would still like to discuss you options for future employment within Omerta Syndicate, please do not hesitate to contact one of the following O-SYN Human Resources managers:

Taes Valkiir (North America)

Contacting a director is also acceptable, though please be aware that they are generally more busy.

A good way of getting yourself known to us is to join our public channel "Omerta" as well. We often ask unknown recruits to familiarize themselves with us there for a period as we get to know them. In addition to this, registering on our forums and chatting with us there is also another good way of making yourself known.

Once you feel you understand the corporation sufficiently and have decided you would be a good match for Omerta, you should write up a detailed application on our forums addressing each of the requirements laid out above (be sure to read the sticky in our recruitment forum). After that, we will let you know when we have read your application. Usually we will follow up the application with an interview, where we discuss with you in more detail what is expected from you and what you stand to gain by joining. We will also require a screenshot of your character selection screen(s) and wallet filtered to Player Donations for security purposes. If all looks good, we will let you know within a day or two that you're accepted.

We sometimes encourage younger or less-qualified pilots to re-apply at a later date, keeping their records on file and a watchful eye on them. For this reason, we encourage you to at least make yourself and your interest in Omerta known to us no matter what your experience level is in EVE.

Thank you for your interest in our corporation. We look forward to hearing from you.
